Saumya, the founder of Knots of India, aims at making hand embroidered designer sarees affordable without exploiting the woman artisans who work for us.

Our brand was born out of a vision from a mother of twins who understands the power of a woman’s journey. Life brought her back to her home town Lucknow where she has seen the women artisans getting exploited by big brands for the their hard work. So she decided to support them while pursuing her love for saree. She knows the delicate balance of life’s everyday challenges a woman has to face to support their family financially. Every saree we make is unique and is not mass produced to exploit our team of artisans.

Our founder, a proud twin mom, created this brand with one core belief — that every woman deserves to feel radiant and unique. After experiencing the transformative power of a beautiful, hand-crafted saree during her own milestones, she was inspired to design sarees that would empower women to shine on their most cherished moments.
